The island&#039;s southern latitude keeps viewing weather genuinely usable from March into November, and winters are mild enough that a well-kept boat does not need to disappear under a tarpaulin the way one further north often does.<\/p><p>That length changes the selling calendar in a way worth understanding properly. Buyers elsewhere in Greece compress their viewing into a narrow spring window because the weather either side of it is unreliable; in Crete, a buyer can view comfortably in February or in October, which spreads demand across most of the year rather than concentrating it into eight or ten weeks. The consequence for a seller is that there is less of a single moment when the market switches on, and more of a steady flow that rewards a boat being ready whenever a serious buyer appears, not just in April and May.<\/p><p>The counterpart to that flexibility is that a boat which looks neglected has nowhere to hide.
